Pharmacolog expands agreement with Codonics
Pharmacolog and Codonics extend existing agreement to include sales of DrugLog™ and associated services into GCC countries and Jordan.
Pharmacolog and Codonics is expanding their strategic agreement to now include Codonics distribution of DrugLog™ into Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates, and Jordan. This makes Codonics the exclusive distributor of DrugLog™ in the U.S., Canada, and Middle East and WasteLog™ in the U.S., Mexico, China, and the Middle East. Less than one year ago, Pharmacolog and Codonics expanded their original agreement to include Codonics’ exclusive distribution of WasteLog™ into the Middle East.
DrugLog™ enables hospital pharmacies to implement additional quality control by verifying the identity and concentration of compounded injectable medications to ensure each drug is prepared accurately and safely prior to administration to a patient. Used as part of pharmacy’s in-house quality control process, DrugLog™ is ideal for chemotherapy and compounded medications whether patient-specific or batched. WasteLog™ enables a hospital pharmacy to analyze narcotic waste in seconds to help detect and deter drug diversion. When integrated with Codonics Safe Label System® (SLS), the drug assay workflow is automated by enabling a SLS-prepared syringe to be scanned into WasteLog™ to document important information about the drug. With either solution, user’s get highly accurate measurement results in <4 seconds with no machine contamination.
