Pharmacolog unveils its latest software innovation Pharmacolog Dashboard and will showcase the next generation hardware platform at the 26th EAHP congress in Vienna, March 23-25.
During the EAHP (European Association of Hospital Pharmacists) congress March 23-25 in Vienna, Pharmacolog will introduce Pharmacolog Dashboard, a new and unique web-based tool for remote analysis of performed quality control checks of prepared compounded items. Together with Pharmacolog’s measuring devices DrugLog®, PrepLog® and WasteLog®, Pharmacolog Dashboard provides a complete overview of the quality control results from compounded injectables ensuring maximum patient safety. Pharmacolog Dashboard provides the user with several valuable tools, that include creation of reports and statistics on all completed measurements, remote visibility to measurement graphs and provides for a senior pharmacist to assist in the cleanroom during a complicated preparation remotely. Pharmacolog Dashboard is expected to be released for customer installation in the second half of 2022.
In addition to Pharmacolog Dashboard the company will have the PrepLog® product displayed on an all-new hardware platform. Pharmacolog has for some time been working on developing a new hardware platform to, among other things, facilitate higher production volumes and ensure future supply of critical components while keeping up with the latest technologies. The new platform will be available with PrepLog® the second half of 2022, and later followed by the company’s other products DrugLog® and WasteLog®.
The EAHP (European Association of Hospital Pharmacists) will hold its 26th Congress in Vienna on March 23-25. EAHP anticipates 4,000 participants from 70 countries and is the leader for continuing education credits for hospital pharmacists in Europe.
Mats Högberg, CEO of Pharmacolog comments: “Pharmacolog Dashboard gives hospital pharmacies completely new opportunities for effective quality work at a time when medication is becoming increasingly patient-specific and therefore requires careful quality controls to ensure that drug preparation is correct. Being able to quickly assist a colleague who is in the clean room without having to be physically present is a function that our current customers have requested. Likewise, the possibility of quickly getting an overview of a large number of performed measurements to see which drugs show concentration variations in order to review the possibility of adjusting the preparation routines to reduce the deviations. We are also very proud to be able to show PrepLog on our new hardware platform that has been developed to facilitate production in larger volumes. We have also worked to improve the design to increase user-friendliness.”
Pharmacolog provides solutions and products that enhance work efficiency and safety when preparing injectable medication. Our goal is to help prevent medication errors and ensure maximum medication efficacy when treating patients with powerful yet potentially harmful injectable drugs. Pharmacolog’s products, DrugLog®, WasteLog® and PrepLog®, help staff at pharmacies and hospital wards minimize the risk of errors in the compounding process. Furthermore, by verifying that drugs and narcotics used in surgery have not been tampered with, our solutions also make a vital contribution to preventing drug diversion.
